Comment Period on National Planning Frameworks Open

Building on the work from the past several years, FEMA is coordinating updates to the National Planning Frameworks. As you know, the National Planning Frameworks, part of the National Preparedness System, set the strategy and doctrine for building, sustaining, and delivering the core capabilities identified in the National Preparedness Goal. They describe the coordinating structures and alignment of key roles and responsibilities for the whole community and are integrated to ensure interoperability across all mission areas.

Over the next several weeks, members of the the whole community, including Citizen Corps and CERT programs, will have the opportunity to support the refresh effort and submit their comments and ideas for consideration.

The comment period opened this week and closes Wednesday, June 3, 2015 at 5:00 PM EDT.
