Chapter 3: Navigating the Site
This chapter discusses navigation of the HOT-Ready website.
All pages of the HOT-Ready site are laid out in similar fashion. At the top of the page, you will find the
navigation bar in blue. By clicking each
one of the buttons, you will be directed to a different portion of the
site. Information pertaining to the
portion of the site you are in is displayed on the left below the navigation
bar. On the right-hand side of the page
are other navigation and user features that you can utilize. Hot links are posted in the boxes with the
newest information on the site. We will
discuss media galleries and groups in later chapters.
At the bottom of each page, there is a Site Activity
log. This log shows the newest updates
pertaining to that page. It will show
new members that have joined the site, new blog and forum postings and new
media uploads.
On pages other than the home page, you will notice a
calendar on the right-hand side of the page.
This calendar shows upcoming training, exercises, and meetings in the
HOTCOG Region. This calendar is a flash
application, so you may need to download a plug-in if a blue bar appears at the
top of the page.
